We got to Benin safely and went straight to my parent
house, I entered my street, the street I grow up
everything has changed the street was now more quite,
we got to our gate,the cap man stopped,I paided him and
we enlightened from the car,we took our luggages from
the car,she compliment my street I smile if only she
knows how I lived my life here,I knocked at the gate a
little boy of about nine opened “good evening sir are you
looking for someone” he asked me,I told him who I was
looking for he open the gate at once,and also help us
with the luggages,I really miss my home I took Mimi
hands and we both walk to the sitting room no one needs
to show me the way to the sitting room this was my
home we got inside the sitting room the boy ran inside
immediately we entered maybe he wants to go and call
someone just as I thought my mum came out with the
boy immediately my mum saw me she ran and
embraced me I know she was happy to see me whose
mother will not be after so long, we exchange pleastins.
My mum accepted Mimi and was also happy that I have
accepted to get married after a lot of singing that came
from her about me getting married she has never for
once get tried of that,my father later came he was not
around when I came ,did I tell you about my family well
my sister Judith was now married to a business man and
now has four children, also my sister Oduwa is till
married with two kids,my younger brother is in American
working as a doctor not yet married but soon to get
married, as for my dad and mum they are no longer
working it was now the children turn to take care of
them,God has really blessed us all thanks to my parents.
I told my father of my intention I have for Mimi he was
pleased with me and we book the day we will visit her
parent,mimi left the next day because she has to go
inform her parent then call me to tell me if the day we
agreed was okey for them,she later called to inform me
that her family was ready to received us,I was happy now
because I know anytime from now Mimi will be my wife.
The Dday came my father has already invisited some of
my uncles I call her to tell her we were coming she was
happy, I,my father and my uncles set out to my beloved
mimi house, as we approach the street that was given to
me it was familiar but I put it out of my mind but when I.....
got to the gate that was when all my fears arose......
